Meet our Executive Committee

Most people think of Barclaycard as a strong brand and market leading UK consumer credit card company. We are that, and so much more.

Customers trust us to provide funding options in South Africa, the US and several other countries around the world. And thanks to our innovative products, a large network of merchants accepts and makes millions of payments every day.

I am very passionate about the future of this great business and aim to build on the excellent work our team has done so far.

Why did you choose to work for Barclaycard?

There are several reasons, starting with the fact that I have enormous respect for the Barclays brand and the decisions taken by senior executives during extremely tough economic conditions. The primary driver, however, was Barclaycard's strong commitment to growth, customers and innovation.

If you could change one thing about financial services, what would it be?

To make products far less complicated.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I'm inspired by everyday acts by everyday people - a mom at my kids' school who always knows the perfect way to deal with a tantrum or upset child; a musician on the street corner who's amazingly talented and enjoying life; a colleague who knows what customers need and how to deliver it...

What gets you up in the morning?

Usually my young and energetic twins!

Tell us something about you that would surprise people

I read tarot cards. I only do it for fun, but have been known to be painfully accurate.

What do you secretly watch on TV when everyone's out?

Mindless sitcoms and romantic comedies.

What was your first ever job, and what did you learn from it?

As a counsellor at a summer camp, I learned that I do not enjoy the great outdoors.
