In 1966, Barclaycard launched in the UK with just over one million cardholders. Now, forty years on, we are one of Europe's leading credit card and consumer lending businesses with in excess of 10 million UK cardholders and 8.8 million cards in issue outside the UK. It is one of Europe's leading credit card businesses and has an increasing international presence.
