Some customers have been receiving an email claiming to be from Barclays advising them to follow a link to what appears to be a Barclays web site, where they are prompted to enter confidential information.
Barclays is in no way involved with this email and the web site does not belong to us.
Barclays does not send emails to customers requesting security or any other confidential information. Please do not reply to any such emails or follow any links to web sites claiming to be Barclays.
If you think that you've received a fraudulent email that looks like it's from Barclays, please delete them immediately - do not respond to them.
Other security alerts
Fraudsters are claiming to be working for Visa and have emailed Visa cardholders in tricking them to provide their ATM/Debit Card number and PIN.
This email is not from Visa and is an unauthorised website. Do not enter your personal details. This issue is currently under investigation and necessary action will be taken in order to close this website down.
No card company will ever make unsolicited contact with customers asking for card information or PINs.
Please do not respond to these requests for confidential information.
